The Provence Experience

We created The Provence Experience to share the beautiful and authentic regional traditions of southern France while offering the best in modern health and wellness.  It is an elegant combination of old and new -- the "old" from the authentic and deep-rooted traditions of a place and the "new" from our modern sensibilities of what it means to renew and recharge body and mind.

The Provence Experience unparalleled access to unique cultural experiences (wine tastings, market tours, gallery visits, culinary demonstrations) while offering daily yoga, meditation, and fitness options.   Our cuisine is prepared using the freshest local and organic ingredients.

Guest are invited to tailor their Experience to meet their needs.  We offer special activities for children such as language immersions and art workshops.  We also integrate local cultural events such as the  famous Aix-en-Provence Opera Festival.

The result is an Experience unlike any other.

The Land of CezanNe

Aix-en-Provence was founded in 123 BC by Roman consul Sextius Calvinus, who gave his name to its springs (Aquae Sextiae), later "Aix."  It was one of the earliest Roman colonies of ancient Gaul.  The city reached its height in the 12th century as a center of art and learning.

Since then, the region has attracted many artists for its breathtaking scenery.  Both Paul Cezanne and Pablo Picasso had homes there and painted the landscape regularly.  The "Terrain des peintres" is a hill in Aix-en-Provence with a stunning view of the Sainte-Victoire mountain where Paul Cézanne came often to paint.

Beautiful paved pathways wind through the pines that gradually take visitors to the top of green hills where they can better observe the famous perspectives that inspired so many great artists.

With nearly 300 days of sunshine per year, the views are consistently stunning -- the Provence you've always dreamed of.
